Yann Jimenez was a one-man wrecking crew for Laton as he went 8 for 17 en route to 22 points in addition to eight boards and five assists. Another player making a difference was Donavin Mobley, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 13 rebounds.
Jimenez wasn't the only one working in the assists department: Laton was working as a unit and finished the game with 17 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Alpaugh only posted five assists.
Despite the loss, Alpaugh saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Josh Banuelos Jr. posted seven points and four steals. Banuelos Jr. is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed three or more in the last three games he's played.
Laton has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-15 record this season. As for Alpaugh, they are on a 23-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-22.
