The Lincolnton Wolves can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They came out on top against West Caldwell by a score of 50-43. That's another feather in the cap for Lincolnton, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Lincolnton was led to victory by Sarah Rhyne and Vanessa Cespedes. Rhyne scored ten points along with nine rebounds, while Cespedes scored 11 points. Another player making a difference was Camellia Holland, who scored four points along with three steals.
Lincolnton's win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-10. As for West Caldwell, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-11.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lincolnton will square off against East Burke at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. East Burke has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 876 points over their last 13 matches. As for West Caldwell, they will head out on the road to face off against West Lincoln at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. West Lincoln and West Caldwell are at an even 4-4 over their past eight head-to-heads.
