The Fairwinds Christian Knights lost against the Chestertown Christian Academy Patriots last Monday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. Fairwinds Christian took a 64-53 hit to the loss column at the hands of Chestertown Christian Academy. Fairwinds Christian has not had much luck with Chestertown Christian Academy recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Fairwinds Christian lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Levi Rajis, who scored 15 points along with two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Rajis has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Daniel Evans, who scored 15 points.
Chestertown Christian Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but John Stoltzfus led the charge by scoring 17 points along with two blocks. Brian Lloyd was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Fairwinds Christian dropped their record down to 6-7 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Chestertown Christian Academy, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 8-2.
Fairwinds Christian won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Concord Christian Academy at 6:15 p.m. on February 6th. Hopefully Fairwinds Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 25 on Monday. As for Chestertown Christian Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Greenwood Mennonite at 5:15 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in their respective states (Chestertown Christian Academy is ranked 35th in Maryland, while Greenwood Mennonite is ranked 43rd in Delaware).
