Baseball Recap: Fellowship Christian Sets Scoring Season-High Against Norcross

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Fellowship Christian). They never let the Norcross Blue Devils get on the board and left with a 16-0 win on Saturday. The Paladins might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight games by seven runs or more this season.

The team relied heavily on Jake Brannon, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, seven RBI, and two runs. Those seven RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Reid Harke, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

Fellowship Christian always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .621. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Fellowship Christian has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Norcross, they have been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 12 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-19 record this season.
