Things haven't been easy for Boyd County, and their game on Friday only extended their streak of losses to six. They fell just short of East Carter by a score of 12-14. Things were expected to be close, but in this case the state rankings mixed up the winning team.
Both teams are staying within the conference for their upcoming matches. Boyd County will stay at home next week against Greenup County at 7:30 PM. Given that they both suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match. As for East Carter, they will face off against Rowan County. Rowan County took a loss in their last match and are no doubt out to reverse East Carter's good fortune.
