The Wheatmore Warriors's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their 15th straight loss. They fell 61-48 to Southwestern Randolph. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Wheatmore in their matchups with Southwestern Randolph: they've now lost seven in a row.
Wheatmore's loss came despite strong showings from - - and Parker Kines. - scored eight points along with eight rebounds and three steals, while Kines scored 16 points. That's the first time this season that - pulled down eight or more rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Weston Driggers, who scored eight points along with two steals.
Southwestern Randolph got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Nathan Ellis out in front who scored 21 points along with six rebounds and five assists. Another player making a difference was Marcus Robertson, who scored 15 points along with five assists.
