The Biglerville Canners will head out on the road to square off against the Bermudian Springs Eagles at 4:15 p.m. on Friday. Biglerville is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.2 runs per game this season.
On Wednesday, Biglerville made easy work of York County Tech and carried off an 11-4 win. The Canners haven't had any issues with the Spartans recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Jared Hollabaugh made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching 6.2 innings while giving up four earned runs off seven hits. Hollabaugh was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. He is becoming a predictor of Biglerville's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 4-1 (and 1-6 when he doesn't).
In other batting news, Gavin Althoff and Parker Black did most of the damage at the plate: Althoff got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI, while Black went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Biglerville is 3-1 when Black posts two or more runs, but 2-6 otherwise. Aiden Hoffman was another key player, going 1-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Meanwhile, Bermudian Springs came tearing into Wednesday's game with 11 straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.5 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Nighthawks a 3-0 shutout.
The result came thanks to Brayden Heller's shutout, as he gave up just three hits and racked up ten Ks.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Dylan Hubbard, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.
Bermudian Springs' win was their eighth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-1. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Biglerville, their record is now 5-7.
Biglerville might still be hurting after the 19-6 loss they got from Bermudian Springs in their previous meeting back in March. Can the Canners avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
