Sebring is 9-1 against Avon Park since January of 2016, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Sebring Blue Streaks will stay at home for another game and welcome the Avon Park Red Devils at 7:30 p.m. on December 15th. Given that the pair suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.
Last Tuesday, Sebring was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 53-49 to Bartow.
Sebring's defeat came about despite a quality game from Jordan Gregory, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and ten rebounds. Those 24 points set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of KJ Turner, who scored four points along with five assists and five rebounds.
Meanwhile, Avon Park's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss. They fell just short of Moore Haven by a score of 46-43. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Avon Park has scored all season.
Sebring's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Avon Park, their loss was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 2-5.
Everything came up roses for Sebring against Avon Park when the teams last played back in January as the squad secured a 70-25 victory. With Sebring ahead 49-18 at the half, the game was all but over already.
