GV Christian is hoping to do what Awaken Christian couldn't on Saturday: put an end to Lincoln County's winning streak, which now stands at four games. Lincoln County took their contest with ease, bagging a 61-34 win over Awaken Christian. The Lynx have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matchups by 22 points or more this season.
It was another big night for Kalen Bart, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 12 boards. He is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for four straight games. Another player making a difference was Rowdy Lloyd, who posted 14 points and five assists.
Lincoln County smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've posted since back in January of 2024.
Meanwhile, GV Christian waltzed into their game on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They blew past the Cougars, posting an 81-42 victory. With that win, the Guardians brought their scoring average up to 50.2 points per game.
Lincoln County better keep an eye on Nick Madsen. He was instrumental in GV Christian's win, going 7 of 9 from beyond the arc on his way to 42 points and five rebounds. The contest was Madsen's fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Thomas Pulcini, who almost dropped a double-double on 13 points and nine assists.
Lincoln County is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.0 points per game. As for GV Christian, their record now sits at 5-9.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Lincoln County has crashing the boards this season, having averaged 37 boards per game. However, it's not like GV Christian struggles in that department as they've been averaging 32.4 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
