Adam Levy was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He pitched four innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off three hits. Levy was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with five RBI, three runs, and two doubles. Those five RBI gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, Holden Dunham was incredible, going 4-for-5 with three runs and three RBI. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Carsen Rogers, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three runs and one stolen base.
Graham Local always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .545. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Northwestern only posted an OBP of .200.
Meanwhile, Urbana fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against London on Wednesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell 7-4 to the Red Raiders. That's two games in a row now that the Hillclimbers have lost by exactly three runs.
Grady Lantz was huge no matter where he played even without the win. On the mound, he struck out 12 batters over 5.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits. Lantz was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one double.
In other batting news, Colt Teepe made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one RBI. Colton Lafferty also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.
Urbana has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season. As for Graham Local, their victory bumped their record up to 8-4.
Urbana's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Graham Local hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .316.
