Rowan County dropped down to 19-5 on Saturday, ending the team's four-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the Lexington Christian Eagles by a score of 2-1. The Vikings were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Eagles earlier this season, when they won 2-0.

As for Lexington Christian, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-10. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win they have posted since September 12, 2024.

Leading Lexington Christian to victory were Sarah Biliter and Sophia Gorshak. Biliter had 21 digs and six assists, while Gorshak had eight digs and three aces. That's the most digs Biliter has posted over her last six matches.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Rowan County will challenge Fairview at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Lexington Christian, they will take on Model at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
