Naia Smith was American Christian Academy's leading scorer, having posted 13 points. Smith also led the team in assists with three. She held things down on the boards with 13 rebounds.
Greene County's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Za' Kyia Manning, who scored 15 points. Those 15 points set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Janyria Hutton, who scored 11 points.
American Christian Academy has been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season. As for Greene County, their victory bumped their record up to 2-4.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. American Christian Academy won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Sipsey Valley at 6:00 p.m. on December 12th. Sipsey Valley presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than American Christian Academy in Alabama (Sipsey Valley is ranked 130th, while American Christian Academy is ranked 293rd). As for Greene County, they will head out on the road to face off against Marion at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
