Robinson's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Camri Hobbs led the charge by putting up 23 points and seven boards. The contest was Hobbs' third in a row with at least 17 points. Another player making a difference was Makiyah Gray, who dropped a double-double with 11 points and ten rebounds.
Robinson smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in four consecutive matches.
A.C. Reynolds typically has all the answers at home, but on Friday Huss proved too difficult a challenge. They came out on top against the Rockets by a score of 54-46. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Huskies.
Huss' win came from a few key players Robinson will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Jaleila Littlejohn, who posted 14 points along with six boards and three steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in each of the last three games she's played. Brooklyn Swann was another key player, dropping a double-double with 14 points and 14 rebounds.
Robinson's win was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 25-4. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.9 points over those games. As for Huss, their victory bumped their record up to 18-7.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Robinson has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 23.3 boards per game. However, it's not like Huss struggles in that department as they've been averaging 38.6 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Robinson came up short against Huss in their previous meeting back in December of 2019, falling 56-50. Thankfully for Robinson, Jamya Daniels (who dropped a double-double with 30 points and 11 boards) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
