Astronaut is 2-8 against Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy since March of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Astronaut War Eagles are taking a road trip to challenge the Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy Tigers at 3:00 p.m. Astronaut is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.5 runs per game this season.
Astronaut had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 27-run drubbing they dealt Cocoa on Monday. Astronaut's pitchers stepped up to hand Cocoa a 27-0 shutout.
Lawerence Stewart made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
In other pitching news, Cannon Hanson looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Furthermore, he didn't allow a single walk, the first time he has blanked an opponent since back in March of 2024.

Back at the plate, Holden Quinn was a standout: he went 2-for-4 with three runs, four RBI, and one triple. He has become a key player for Astronaut: the team is 3-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 1-6 otherwise. Nathan Edwards was another key player, scoring four runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.
Astronaut was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .429. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Cocoa only posted a batting average of .083.
Meanwhile, Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy lost 7-1 to Satellite on Wednesday. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ethan Nunes, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.
Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Astronaut, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-7.
Astronaut suffered a grim 11-3 defeat to Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy when the teams last played back in February of 2020. Can Astronaut avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
