Oxnard scaled the state rankings by moving to 523 from 575 this week, the biggest jump in Pacific View. The Yellowjackets were able to move up by beating Ventura 21-20.
Oxnard and the Cougars played the most contested game in the league this week, with Oxnard eventually emerging with a 21-20 victory. Amari Payton caught 2 passes for 89 yards in the win.
Frankie Tostado was the best wideout in the league this week as Camarillo beat Saugus. Tostado racked up 11 receptions for 119 yards. Nico Lima helped Camarillo's passing attack out by catching 4 balls for 49 yards.
The leading receiver in the league this season is Tostado. The Camarillo star has 37 catches for 597 yards.
The top two teams in Pacific View will face off this week when first place Camarillo takes on second place Pacifica. The Scorpions topped the Centurions last week, while Pacifica lost to Santa Barbara.
Next week's game between Hueneme and Rio Mesa will feature a good passing match up as Adan Salas will test his arm against Anthony Corona's defensive ability. So far this year the Vikings' Salas has 1,112 yards and 6 touchdowns to his credit, while Corona has notched 2 interceptions for the Spartans.
One of the league's premier quarterbacks will face off with its top pass rusher when Hueneme and Rio Mesa face off next week.
The league will see a high scoring game when the Tritons and Camarillo face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, Pacifica comes in having scored 100 this season, while Jack Willard's team has scored 154. Mike Moon's team scored 28 points last week as it fell to the Dons.
The Tritons led the league in scoring this week by notching 28 points on the Tritons.
