The Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer Titans came tearing into Wednesday's contest with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 21 points) and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against Bruning-Davenport/Shickley by a score of 52-39.
Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Lillian Bowen led the charge by scoring 17 points along with three steals. Those 17 points set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Laramie Glathar, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer's win bumped their record up to 6-7. As for Bruning-Davenport/Shickley, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season.
Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer will take on Pawnee City on Tuesday. Pawnee City comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for Bruning-Davenport/Shickley, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against McCool Junction at 6:00 p.m.
