Basketball Recap: Timber Creek Skates Past Horizon with Ease

Timber Creek won the last time they faced Horizon and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Timber Creek Wolves claimed a resounding 64-36 win over the Horizon Hawks. The Wolves have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 matches by 27 points or more this season.

Timber Creek got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Serene Exalant out in front who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 12 rebounds. Exalant's evening made it five games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. Kareena Ortiz was another key player, going 5 for 7 en route to 14 points.

Timber Creek was working as a unit and finished the game with 20 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Horizon only racked up seven assists.

Amaya Mitchell and Emma Andrulouis certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Mitchell posted nine points and six boards, while Andrulouis had ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Sofia Duque, who earned six points and seven rebounds.

Timber Creek's win was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 18-4. As for Horizon, they have also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-7 record this season.

Timber Creek has already played their next game, a 41-33 victory against Spruce Creek on the 22nd. As for Horizon, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 54-47 loss against Ocoee on the 23rd.
