After a string of three wins, the Fleming Island Golden Eagles's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They took a 74-70 hit to the loss column at the hands of Riverside. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Saturday (68), Fleming Island still had to take the loss.
Carson Crawford and George Hamm certainly did their best on Monday to try and avoid the loss. Crawford scored 22 points along with nine rebounds and two blocks, while Hamm scored 17 points along with two steals. Crawford hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for eight straight games. Bryce Robinson was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with two steals.
Fleming Island's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-11. As for Riverside, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-8 record this season.
