Softball Recap: Encinal Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Encinal can bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They were the clear victors by an 8-2 margin over the Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory Fightin' Irish. The Jets not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since March 11th.

Cameron Tran made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs off four hits. Tran was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kiely Wong, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3. Jaydah Tautalatasi - Robinson was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.

Encinal's record now sits at 4-8. As for Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season.

Encinal is taking a road trip to square off against Alameda at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Lincoln at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday. Lincoln will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory surely won't give up without a fight.
