The Tornillo Coyotes's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their 21st straight defeat. They were beaten by Alpine 75-20. Tornillo has not had much luck with the Bucks recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Alpine was led to victory by Hope Dominguez and Novah Carrasco. Dominguez dropped a double-double on ten points and 12 rebounds, while Carrasco dropped a double-double on 29 points and 11 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Carrasco has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Ali Maroney, who scored four points along with eight rebounds.
Tornillo dropped their record down to 1-21 with that loss, which was their 17th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Alpine, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-16 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tornillo will face off against the at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Alpine, they will head out on the road to square off against the Yellow Jackets at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
