After flying high against the Bushnell-Prairie City Spartans on Friday, the Peoria Heights Patriots came back down to earth. Peoria Heights fell 38-28 to the Panthers on Saturday. Peoria Heights was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January.
Cole Noreuil was the offensive standout of the match as he scored six points along with seven rebounds and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Zach McLean, who scored eight points along with nine rebounds.
Peoria Heights' loss dropped their record down to 13-12. As for Delavan, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a massive bump to their 15-12 record this season.
Peoria Heights will head out on the road to take on the Rockets at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Roanoke-Benson is coming into the game on a six-game losing streak. As for Delavan, they will be playing at home against the Raiders at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Midwest Central will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings (they are ranked 713th, while the Panthers are ranked 354th).
