The Kokomo Wildkats will head out on the road to take on the Huntington North Vikings at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Kokomo is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 76 points per game this season.
Kokomo is headed into Friday's game hungry for a win as their strong season has now been derailed by two straight defeats. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 54-49 heartbreaker at the hands of Tippecanoe Valley.

Despite their loss, Kokomo saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Zion Bellamy, who went 6-for-12 to rack up 18 points and four steals, was perhaps the best of all. The match was Bellamy's fourth in a row with at least 18 points. Another player making a difference was Baris Moore, who went 7-for-14 en route to 14 points and three steals.
Meanwhile, a well-balanced attack led Huntington North over Fort Wayne Canterbury in every quarter on their way to victory on Wednesday. Huntington North blew past Fort Wayne Canterbury 64-40. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Vikings have posted since January 11th.
Huntington North's win came from a few key players Kokomo will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Ethan Zahn, who almost dropped a double-double with ten points and nine assists. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Titus Schultz, who went 6-for-12 on his way to 17 points.
Huntington North was working as a unit and finished the game with 19 assists. They racked up six more assists than Fort Wayne Canterbury's also-impressive total of 13.
Huntington North moved to 10-12 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Kokomo, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-7.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Kokomo has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 28.5 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Huntington North struggles in that department as they've been averaging 25.3 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
