The Prairie View Thunderhawks will take on the Boulder Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Prairie View took a loss when they played away from home last Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They put the hurt on Northglenn with a sharp 67-46 victory. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Thunderhawks have posted against the Norsemen since December 13, 2018.

Prairie View's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kehinde Ojowa, who dropped a double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds. Those 14 points gave Ojowa a new career-high. Chidiebere Akotaobi was another key player, dropping a double-double with 11 points and ten boards.
Prairie View smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 20 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in 11 consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, Boulder had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11.8 points) and they went ahead and made it five on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Wolves by a score of 67-54. 67 seems to be a good number for the Panthers as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.
Prairie View better keep an eye on Cole Morrow. He was instrumental in Boulder's win, going 11-for-26 en route to 32 points. Morrow's evening made it eight games in a row in which he has scored at least 18 points. Another player making a difference was Manny Flores, who went 6-for-12 on his way to 12 points and five rebounds.
Boulder's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-8. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 75.0 points over those games. As for Prairie View, their win bumped their record up to 12-10.
Prairie View came out on top in a nail-biter against Boulder in their previous meeting back in January, sneaking past 62-59. Does Prairie View have another victory up their sleeve, or will Boulder turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
