It was a good run, but the Centralia Panthers unfortunately witnessed the end of their seven-game winning streak on Monday. They fell 49-36 to Chillicothe. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Centralia has scored all season.
Chillicothe got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jolie Bonderer out in front who scored 12 points along with eight assists and eight rebounds. It was the first time this season that Bonderer posted eight or more assists. Kayanna Cranmer was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with six rebounds and five assists.
Centralia's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 16-4. As for Chillicothe, their victory was their tenth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 17-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Centralia won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Macon at 6:00 p.m. on February 6th. Centralia is facing Macon at the right time seeing as Macon is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Chillicothe, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Kauffman at 6:30 p.m. on February 6th. Hopefully Chillicothe focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 on Monday.
