When it comes to explaining why Franklin Pierce lost, one person who can't be blamed is Javon Barbee. Despite the final result, he scored 20 points. The game was Barbee's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Jordan Disney, who scored eight points.
Franklin Pierce's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Emerald Ridge, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.
Franklin Pierce will head out on the road to face off against Clover Park at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Clover Park will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Washington Rankings (they are ranked 290th, while Franklin Pierce is ranked 139th). As for Emerald Ridge, they will be playing at home against Graham-Kapowsin at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Graham-Kapowsin comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
