If the Crisp Academy Wildcats were riding high off their 65-41 takedown of the Furlow Charter School Falcons last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Crisp Academy took a 67-60 hit to the loss column at the hands of Grace Christian Academy on Friday. Crisp Academy has struggled against Grace Christian Academy recently, as their match on Friday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Several Wildcats players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Reese Reed, who scored 23 points. Another player making a difference was Tucker Ellenberg, who scored ten points along with eight blocks and seven rebounds.
Crisp Academy has been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-11 record this season. As for Grace Christian Academy, their win bumped their record up to 5-10.
Crisp Academy the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Windsor Academy at 7:30 p.m. on January 29th. Grace Christian Academy's road trip will continue as they head out to face Southwest Georgia Academy at 7:30 p.m. on January 29th. Hopefully Southwest Georgia Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 on Friday.
