Having just played yesterday, the Reed-Custer Comets will head out on the road to face off against the Herscher Tigers at 6:45 p.m. on January 25th. Given that the pair suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.
After a string of three wins, Reed-Custer's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They took a 47-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of Manteno.
Reed-Custer's loss came about despite a quality game from Kaylee Tribble, who scored 14 points along with eight rebounds. Tribble is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Alyssa Wollenzien, who scored six points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, Herscher ended up a good deal behind Lisle on Thursday and lost 48-32.
Reed-Custer's defeat dropped their record down to 12-12. As for Herscher, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-15 record this season.
Reed-Custer beat Herscher 34-24 in their previous matchup back in December of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for Reed-Custer since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
