Berne Union is a perfect 3-0 against Madison Christian since April of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Rockets will welcome the Eagles at 5:15 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Berne Union is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They blew past Wellington School 29-2 on Monday. The Rockets haven't had any issues with the Jaguars recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.
Josilyn Hedges and Reese Besco made a splash no matter where they played. Throwing, Hedges pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Besco tossed four innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits. At the plate, Hedges got on base in all six of her plate appearances with one home run, three stolen bases, and three runs, while Besco got on base in three of her six plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. That's the most stolen bases Hedges has posted since back in May of 2024.

In other batting news, Berne Union got a massive performance out of Rylee North, who went 3-for-5 with five runs, two stolen bases, and five RBI. Those five RBI gave North a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Sophia Williams, who got on base in all five of her plate appearances with five RBI, three runs, and one stolen base.
Berne Union was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .481. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Madison Christian entered their tilt with Tree of Life Christian on Thursday with five consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with six. They never let the Trojans get on the board and left with a 5-0 victory.
Madison Christian pushed their record up to 6-2 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.8 runs on average over those games. As for Berne Union, their win bumped their record up to 7-5.
Everything went Berne Union's way against Madison Christian when the teams last played back in April of 2024, as Berne Union made off with a 12-1 victory. Will the Rockets repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
