broke the mark in 10 fewer games.
A transition layup in the fourth quarter was the record-breaking basket. He scored five points in the first quarter, had 13 points at the half and climbed to 23 at the end of the third period.
Yessoufou came into Saturday's contest averaging 28.2 points, 7.7 rebounds, 3.7 steals and 2.8 assists per game on the season to lead the Knights to the No. 15 spot in the MaxPreps Top 25 and was recently selected to the McDonald's All American Game.

The top 20 Baylor signee has been a consistent force throughout his high school career. He averaged 26.4 points, 12.3 rebounds and 2.9 blocks per contest as a freshman in 2021-22. He put up 27.8 points, 10.7 rebounds, 3.7 steals and 2.9 assists per outing as a sophomore and tallied 32.3 points, 10.2 rebounds, 2.6 steals and 2.1 assists per game last season.
The 6-foot-6 forward has led St. Joseph to a record of 111-16 in his career and the Knights have earned a bid in the Open Division state tournament each of the past three seasons.
The prolific scorer has hit for 20 or more points 107 times during his four-year run and posted 76 double-doubles. He's averaging 28.9 points and 10.4 rebounds through 120 games.
Yessoufou went for a career-high of 46 points in a 94-77 victory over Duncanville (Texas) last season and has exploded for 10 40-point outbursts throughout his impressive career.
St. Joseph (25-1) has three games remaining in regular-season play before beginning its quest for the school's first state championship.
