On Friday Craig County take on Bath County at Craig County High School at 7:00 PM. Bath County will be strutting in after a victory while Craig County will be stumbling in from a defeat.
If Craig County were riding high off their 43-13 takedown of Montcalm two weeks ago, that ride came to an abrupt end. Craig County found themselves the reluctant recipients of an unpleasant 15-42 punch to the gut against McCluer last Friday. The state rankings had actually given Craig County a slight edge heading into the game, making this hurt that much more.
Meanwhile, Bath County had enough points to win and then some against Eastern Montgomery, taking their match 19-0. The success made it back-to-back wins for Bath County.
The last time the two teams met, Craig County were within striking distance but couldn't close the gap the last time the two teams met, as they fell 14-20 to Bath County. Can Craig County avenge their loss, or is history doomed to repeat itself ? We'll soon find out.
