Softball Recap: Pyramid Lake's Win Ends Four-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Pyramid Lake won the last time they faced Mineral County and things went their way on Saturday too. The Lakers blew past the Serpents 15-1. The result was nothing new for the Lakers, who have now won seven games by seven runs or more so far this season.

The team relied heavily on Lorena Eben, who went 2-for-4 with two doubles. Another player making a difference was Trista Kelly, who went 3-for-4 with one double.

Eben wasn't the only one making solid contact: Pyramid Lake kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in six consecutive matchups.

Pyramid Lake's victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-4. As for Mineral County, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-3.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Pyramid Lake beat the Serpents by a score of 12-2 later that day.
