Joel Barlow is on a five-game streak of home wins, while New Milford is on a seven-game streak of away wins (dating back to last season): one of those streaks is about to end. The Falcons will host the Green Wave at 4:15 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Joel Barlow 3.1, New Milford 3.8) so any runs scored will be well earned.
On Wednesday, Joel Barlow was able to grind out a solid win over Notre Dame Prep, taking the game 8-4. The Falcons haven't had any issues with the Lancers recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.
Will Gregor made a splash while hitting and pitching. He pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with three RBI and one double.

In other pitching news, Eli Kress looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one hit in three consecutive appearances.
Back at the plate, the team relied heavily on TJ Baer, who went 4-for-5 with one home run, three runs, and one stolen base. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April.
Joel Barlow was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .429. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, after only two runs in their last game, New Milford made sure to put some runs up on the board against Masuk on Wednesday. The Green Wave came out on top against the Panthers by a score of 12-7.
New Milford got a massive performance out of John Coniglio, who went 1-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one double. Coniglio has become a key player for the Green Wave: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 2-3 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Cole Jennings, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
New Milford has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.6 runs on average over those games. As for Joel Barlow, their victory bumped their record up to 11-1.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Friday as neither team is afraid to steal. Joel Barlow has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.8 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like New Milford struggles in that department as they've been averaging 2.8 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Joel Barlow skirted past New Milford 3-1 in their previous meeting two weeks ago. Will the Falcons repeat their success, or do the Green Wave have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
