Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Capital). They put the hurt on the Manzano Monarchs with a sharp 77-56 victory on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Jaguars have posted since December 12, 2024.

Leading Capital to victory were Annica Montoya and Alisha Nava. Montoya posted 16 points, while Nava put up 13 points. Those 13 points gave Nava a new career-high. Briana Perez was another key player, putting up nine points.

Despite the loss, Manzano had strong showings from Daira Solis, who dropped a double-double with 25 points and 11 rebounds, and Zaria Gomez, who had 23 points and four steals.

Capital's victory bumped their record up to 8-17. As for Manzano, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-14.

Capital has already played their next contest, a 73-59 defeat against Eldorado on the 20th. As for Manzano, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 72-42 loss against La Cueva on the 20th.
