Volleyball Recap: Har-Ber Starts Season with Victory Against Greenwood

Har-Ber gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Greenwood Bulldogs. That's more bragging rights for the Wildcats, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Har-Ber walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the fourth set). The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 19-25, 25-23, 25-12.

Several Bulldogs players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Abrey Jureka, who had 15 digs and three aces. Another player making a difference was Addi Webb, who had ten assists and seven digs.

This is the second loss in a row for Greenwood and nudges their season record down to 1-2.

Coming up, Har-Ber will hit the road for the first time this season to face off against Southside at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The game will give the Wildcats their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Greenwood, they will look to defend their home court on September 4 against Northside at 6:30 p.m.
