Giles were the first on the board but had to settle for second at the end of their game against James River on Friday. Giles came up short against James River, falling 28-36. Giles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as James River apparently hadn't forgotten their loss from the last time the teams met up.
The defeat dropped Giles' record to 3-4. The victory bumped James River's record up to 5-1.
Next week Giles take on Carroll County at Carroll Co High School at 7:00 PM. James River will be playing at home against Alleghany at at 7:30 PM. Alleghany are limping into the matchup on a six-game losing streak.
