After flying high against the Heritage Christian Academy Warriors last Monday, the Fort Campbell Falcons came back down to earth. Fort Campbell had to suffer through a rough 63-15 loss at the hands of Northeast. Fort Campbell was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 46-9.
Leading Northeast to victory were Krista Brandon and Qimara Summers. Brandon scored 16 points along with seven rebounds and two steals, while Summers scored 15 points along with seven steals and five assists. That's the first time this season that Brandon scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Jorian Crozart, who scored four points along with 11 rebounds and two steals.
Fort Campbell's loss dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Northeast, their victory bumped their record up to 6-9.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fort Campbell will take on Dawson Springs at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Dawson Springs comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 18 points in their last three games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse. As for Northeast, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Springfield at 6:00 p.m.
