The Marmaton Valley Wildcats suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Thursday. They were beaten by Iola 67-23. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Marmaton Valley has scored all season.
Iola's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Landon Weide, who scored 15 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Cortland Carson was another key contributor, scoring 17 points along with two steals.
Marmaton Valley's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Iola, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season.
Marmaton Valley won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Crest on January 19th. As for Iola, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Burlington at 7:00 p.m.
