Basketball Recap: Nehemiah Raphael's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Hope Academy over IMG Academy Black

The Hope Academy Trojan came up short against the IMG Academy Black Ascenders on Wednesday and fell 62-49.

Hope Academy lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Nehemiah Raphael, who shot 58% from the field to rack up 23 points and six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Kelvin Akins, who posted eight points and seven boards.

Hope Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for IMG Academy Black, their victory bumped their record up to 2-0.

Looking ahead, Hope Academy will welcome Tavares at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for IMG Academy Black, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Charlotte at 7:00 p.m. on December 2.
