Arlington Christian waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with seven straight wins but they left with eight. They breezed by Fulton Leadership Academy at home to the tune of 80-20. Arlington Christian has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matches by 22 points or more this season.
Arlington Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Rico Williams, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds. Williams hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for six straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Chezi Essel, who scored seven points along with nine steals and seven rebounds.
Arlington Christian's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-6. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.0 points per game. As for Fulton Leadership Academy, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-8.
Arlington Christian will head out on the road to face off against the Crusaders at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Fulton Leadership Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
