Ava Goble made a big impact no matter where she played. She struck out eight batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in May of 2024.
In other batting news, Casey-Westfield let Tristan Ring and Lucy Moore run wild. Ring got on base in five of her four plate appearances with two RBI and one double, while Moore went 3-for-5 with one home run and two RBI. Ring has been hot recently, having also posted three or more hits the last three times she's played. Gabriela Frye was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.
Casey-Westfield always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .575. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Parke Heritage came up short against Sullivan on Tuesday, falling 11-1. The Wolves haven't had much luck with the Golden Arrows recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.
Parke Heritage saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Addie Frazier, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.
Casey-Westfield pushed their record up to 9-1 with the victory, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Parke Heritage, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.
