Another player making a difference was Terrance Hinton, who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds and four steals.
Hayden McClung and Oliver Barnes certainly did their best on Wednesday to try and avoid the loss. McClung scored 17 points along with eight rebounds and three steals, while Barnes scored 12 points along with three steals. The match was McClung's 12th in a row with at least ten points. Carter Brown was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with seven rebounds.
Denmark-Olar's win bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Andrew Jackson Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-5.
Denmark-Olar will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Calhoun County at 7:30 p.m. on January 2, 2024. One thing working in Calhoun County's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season. Andrew Jackson Academy will finish 2023 at home by hosting White Knoll at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. White Knoll is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses.
