Damonte Ranch and Reed are an even 5-5 against one another since December of 2015, but not for long. The Damonte Ranch Mustangs will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against the Reed Raiders at 12:30 p.m. on December 16th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Nevada (Damonte Ranch is ranked 56th, while Reed is ranked 61st).
Last Saturday, things could have been worse for Damonte Ranch, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 59-45 loss to Vanden.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Mya Ghisletta, who scored 16 points along with six rebounds. Quinn Garrett was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with seven assists.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Reed, who are still winless after their fifth matchup. They fell 49-37 to McQueen on Thursday. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Reed in their matchups with McQueen: they've now lost eight in a row.
Damonte Ranch's record is now 2-7. As for Reed, their loss was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-5.
Damonte Ranch suffered a grim 54-31 defeat to Reed when the teams last played back in January. Can Damonte Ranch avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
