The Steele Comets will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against the Brunswick Blue Devils at 7:00 p.m. on December 22nd. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Tuesday, Steele was able to grind out a solid victory over Berea-Midpark, taking the game 35-26. Given Steele's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 122nd, while Berea-Midpark is ranked 350th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Brunswick waltzed into their match Tuesday with four straight wins but they left with five. The stars were shining brightly for them in a 61-46 win over Mentor. Brunswick's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Steele has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season. As for Brunswick, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-2.
Steele came up short against Brunswick when the teams last played back in January, falling 58-49. Can Steele avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
