Basketball Recap: Hampton Park Christian Extends Winning Streak to Six

Hampton Park Christian extended their winning streak to six games thanks to a huge performance from Trevor Gearhart. Hampton Park Christian took their match on Friday with ease, bagging a 76-23 win over the Westgate Christian Eagles thanks in part to Gearhart, who went 8 of 10 on his way to 18 points and eight boards. The contest was his fifth in a row with at least ten points.

Another player making a difference was Calvin Scott, who posted seven points. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in blocks (two).

Hampton Park Christian pushed their record up to 13-3 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.8 points per game. As for Westgate Christian, they are on a 16-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-13.

Coincidentally, Hampton Park Christian and Westgate Christian will both be playing Upstate HomeSchool the next time they take the court. Hampton Park Christian will host Upstate HomeSchool at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Westgate Christian will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on February 11th.
