The Cleveland Blue Raiders stacked a 12th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Saturday. They blew past Rhea County 67-27 on the road. Given Cleveland's advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 25th, while the Golden Eagles are ranked 144th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Lauren Hurst, who dropped a double-double on 27 points and 11 rebounds. She is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as she's now posted two or more in the last four games she's played. Emily Patterson was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Cleveland's win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 17-7. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.5 points per game. As for Rhea County, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 12-13.
Cleveland will head out on the road to square off against the Chargers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Rhea County, they will play host again and welcome the Hurricanes, where tip off is scheduled for 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
