Coronado and Mission Bay are an even 4-4 against one another since April of 2017, but likely not for long. The Islanders will host the Buccaneers at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Coronado's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. Everything went their way against Crawford as they made off with a 17-0 victory. The Islanders haven't had any issues with the Colts recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Sammy Aldworth was incredible, going 4-for-5 with five RBI, three runs, and one triple. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Chloe Fledderjohn, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI, one run, and one double.
Meanwhile, Mission Bay waltzed into their match on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They put the hurt on the Cavers with a sharp 7-0 victory.
The result came thanks to Abby Nelson's shutout, as she gave up just four hits and racked up 15 Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in nine consecutive appearances.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Indy Beesley, who went 3-for-4 with three doubles and three RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Kassie Zavala, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run and one RBI.
Mission Bay kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as San Diego only managed five hits.
Mission Bay's win bumped their record up to 10-4. As for Coronado, their victory bumped their record up to 7-11.
Everything went Coronado's way against Mission Bay in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, as Coronado made off with a 12-3 win. Will the Islanders repeat their success, or do the Buccaneers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
