Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Meanwhile, Vista Murrieta took a serious blow against Centennial two weeks ago, falling 43-14. Vista Murrieta was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 21-0.
Roosevelt now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Vista Murrieta, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-2-1.
