Cottonwood entered their tilt with Murray on Thursday with seven consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with eight. They escaped with a win against the Murray Spartans by the margin of a single free throw, 56-55. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Colts also won the last time the pair played back in January.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Cottonwood to victory, but perhaps none more so than Luka Cecez, who went 5 for 8 on his way to 15 points and six rebounds. John Rosevear was another key player, putting up 16 points and six rebounds.

Defeat or not, Murray got some senior leadership from Treyce Wilson and Damani Wilkerson. Wilson went 7 of 13 on his way to 16 points and three steals, while Wilkerson went 7 of 11 on his way to 19 points and six boards. Wilkerson continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Ethan Davies, who posted five points and five rebounds.

Cottonwood pushed their record up to 8-3 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. As for Murray, their loss dropped their record down to 5-4.

Cottonwood and American Leadership Academy will round out the year against one another at at 1:00 p.m. on December 27th. Cottonwood is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 67.7 points per game this season. As for Murray, they will face off against Layton at 11:30 a.m. on December 27th. Murray also hasn't been messing around on offense: they've averaged 59.1 points per game.
