The Skyview Huskies were the 54-45 winner over the Gila Bend Gila Monsters when they last played one another back in November of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Skyview fell 62-54 to Gila Bend on Friday. Even though they lost, Skyview's still made a splash on offense and bumped their average scoring up to 50.7 points per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).
Despite the loss, Skyview still got an impressive performance from Trevion Rude, who dropped a double-double on 44 points and 15 rebounds. The matchup was Rude's third in a row with at least ten points.
Skyview's loss dropped their record down to 2-1. As for Gila Bend, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Skyview will head out on the road to face off against A+ Charter School at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Gila Bend, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Tohono O'Odham at 6:00 p.m.
