A 21-point second quarter helped the Provo school secure the big victory. The Thunderbirds scored on a touchdown run by Aspinall, a Lloyd touchdown pass to Van and a touchdown catch by
Dax Raymond in the quarter.
Nolan Gray made a difference for the Tigers. The junior wide receiver caught one touchdown. He has now scored 11 touchdowns on the season.
Timpview's standout player in the win was Van. The junior wide receiver caught two touchdowns.
THS went into the matchup giving up only 15.5 points per game. The 12 points that Orem ended with were well below its average of 38.0 coming into the game.
The Thunderbirds also won the meeting between the two teams last season, 29-14.
The loss comes after Orem defeated Springville 45-18 last week.
Timpview (6-1) goes up against Salem Hills in a 4A Region 8 game matchup next week, while Orem (4-3) locks horns with Mountain View also in a 4A Region 8 game.
